Alessandra did everything she could to make our stay pleasant, and served a lovely breakfast each morning, with both prepared items and dishes cooked to order. We also found a very good restaurant about 15 minutes away, Terrazza Versilia - ristorante vistamare, and the big Sunday evening market by the pier is worth seeing. We liked the place, but the noise and lack of air conditioning may stop us from coming back. We missed the fact that there was no A/C, and the beach also costs extra. With the windows open, we heard the neighbor's dog barking at night as well as cars and people passing by. Noise carried through the walls and doors too. The shower and toilet are together in a small space that worked, though it wasn't ideal for a couple. With luggage, getting there from the train stops was difficult, so we took a taxi. Restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk away and often booked, so it's best not to leave dinner plans until the last minute.

After Florence and Rome, staying at Le Giare felt like a welcome chance to unwind. Lucca and his wife are charming hosts, and we loved the home-cooked food, the lovely beach, and our clean, comfortable place to stay. It was the Italian experience we hoped for, with wonderful people all around. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax.

We chose this place because we were going to the Carnival parade in Viareggio the next day, and it turned out to be a great choice. Alessandra greeted us with such a warm smile, and the room was already cozy and warm after our trip. There was a heart-shaped balloon and Valentine's Day chocolates waiting on the bed, a really sweet surprise. After we came back from the trattoria that evening, there was even a bottle of cold water for us. Those little touches meant a lot. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a TV, and the bathroom had everything we needed. Breakfast brought a delicious omelet made by Alessandra. Parking was easy, either right in front of the property or on nearby streets. Hotel stars only count for so much. What mattered was how cared for we felt, and we felt truly pampered. Thank you, Alessandra, and congratulations!
