Hotel Milton

We used the hotel as a base for the carnival in nearby Viareggio and to explore the surrounding area. The hospitality, friendly service, and welcome were excellent. Lunch and dinner were well above what I’d expect from a three-star place, both in food quality and cooking. The rooms are adequate. One tip: if you’re not as agile or slim as you used to be, ask for a room with a comfortable bathroom. Mine was small.

The staff were both friendly and professional, and the hotel is just steps from the sea. A lovely place for a fully relaxing holiday, I recommend it.

We had a wonderful week at Hotel Milton in Pietrasanta in August 2024. It was such a lovely find: small, welcoming, and clearly run with care. The young owners were attentive and greeted us with a smile and a kind of genuine warmth that feels rare these days. The property has been recently renovated, with clean rooms, well-kept spaces, and a relaxing feel. The food was excellent, and you could taste the kitchen staff’s passion in every dish. They’re still part of the family. The Ferragosto dinner was a highlight, with delicious food, music, and dancing under the stars. We’ll definitely return!

Whenever there’s availability, I choose to stay here. The rooms and shared spaces are really nice, and the breakfast especially deserves a mention. There’s a broad range of sweet and savory options, with choices suitable for vegans and vegetarians too.
