Birdsong and the sea breeze made the place feel lovely. Hotel Verdemare is a quiet, vintage traditional hotel, well maintained and set in a beautiful, cozy neighborhood about 300 meters from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast and dinner were good. We stayed four days on the recommendation of Massimo, a staff member we'd met earlier in Madonna Di Campiglio. He's known for excellent client service, wine knowledge, and mixology skills. It's a great choice for a few days or a weekend, and we hope to come back one day.

The building is amazing, the rooms are nice, and the beach is very close. They had availability, so they upgraded our room, which was a really nice gesture.

The staff and owners were so helpful, the service was excellent, and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in the welcoming residential area of La Crocetta, between Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camiore. The complex has three buildings, two more modern ones with a restaurant, an American bar, and a very nice TV room. The oldest is a villa I think dates to the early 1900s, with a grand entrance and beautiful staircase. It looks like Totò may have stayed there. Some rooms open onto welcoming terraces. I think I'll happily come back with my beloved dogs.
