DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I've spent almost two weeks a month in hotels, and this was the most inaccurately advertised one I've stayed in. The air conditioning didn't work, and there weren't windows to let air into the rooms. Getting to the property rooms meant a 10-minute walk up steep steps with no railing. The owner was rude and belligerent, breakfast was skimpy, and there's nothing within walking distance unless a 10-minute steep walk down a road to a biker bar sounds appealing. Alghero is a delightful place, but this hotel/B&B shouldn't be rated as highly as it is. I can only assume most of the bookings are fake or paid for by the owners. This was not an acceptable stay. The hot room, uncomfortable bed, and extremely thin walls were the least of my complaints, but they're worth mentioning if you're considering staying here. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We spent three nights in Argentiera and were moved by its history. The place felt peaceful, a lovely spot to recharge. We especially enjoyed the architecture of the B&B, the room's decor, the beautiful terraces looking out over the ocean, and watching the starry sky at night. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Francesco and Tamara were kind and friendly, and always ready to help.

The one drawback was being asked to pay in advance within 24 hours of booking, which caused trouble for clients living overseas. Otherwise, it's a magnificent, clean, well restored and well managed place, with lovely staff and real quiet. The view over the unique bay brought back memories of the "wild Sardinia" I knew in the late 60s. I could happily return again and again.

The staff were super kind, and breakfast was really nice. This is a great place to stay in a fascinating village that was once a silver mine. The building has been reconstructed beautifully while keeping its old look, and you can see the sea and hear the waves. We'll definitely be back!
