Shoemaker House

What made the difference was the people. Marta, Giovannina, and Martino are simple, kind people with huge hearts who clearly put passion into their work. I felt protected and cared for, and I’d stay here again without a doubt if I came back to this area. After a day walking in the sun, Marta and her father Martino met me in their car and drove me to the B&B. My attempts to walk a little closer hadn’t worked out. Her mother, Mrs. Giovannina, was waiting for me and kept offering food and things to help me cool down. I can’t even remember everything she brought. She kept checking how I was feeling and asking about my health. She was curious about my walk, but mostly wanted me to rest. They gave me lots of useful information for the next day, even checking with the neighbors when they weren’t sure of an answer. When I came back by bus from Argentiera that evening, they were waiting at the gate. Giovannina and Martino offered me more things, and I really enjoyed chatting with them. The apartment I had was huge, spotlessly clean, and tidy. Marta even contacted me the day after I left to ask where I was and how I was doing. The place is clean and orderly, close to Alghero airport, and quiet at night. But above all, it’s the people. Thank you so much, MARTA, GIOVANNINA, AND MARTINO.
