I booked this place by mistake because another nearby hotel has the exact same name, and I’ve stayed at that one several times. Here I had an economy double room, which was very small; the desk stopped the door from opening all the way. There was no air conditioning, just a desk fan. The young woman at check-in was efficient and kind, and spoke several languages fluently, including English. The grounds are large and full of trees, and I was lucky to have access to a roof garden, which made the stay much better. Breakfast was okay and pleasantly set in the garden. For the pool, you need a shower cap, which I’d never encountered as a rule anywhere else in the world. It cost 2.5 Euro, and I wasn’t told about the charge until checkout.

The grounds are fabulous, and the room was cleaned well every day. Dinners were perfect, while breakfast was simple but had everything needed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, always finding a solution to our requests. I can only recommend this perfect 3* hotel!

It’s a sweet retro-chic villa, but management seems extremely cheap about everything. Repairs haven’t been done and upkeep is neglected. Cleaning was poor too: dust and a ball of hair stayed in a bathroom corner for a week. Breakfast was mostly the cheapest supermarket food. At the end of August, with temperatures over 30, they had centrally switched off the air conditioning and told us there’d be a 20 euro supplement. This was after we’d already paid over 250 euros per night, so the value for money felt very, very poor. Some staff were good, but most seemed to need more training and motivation, probably because they’re also paid peanuts.

The garden is lovely for breakfast or cocktails, and the staff and food were great. It’s really close to the beach, too. My room was too small and hadn’t been updated in design like the rest of the place.

A lovely, relaxing stay with good food and great staff. The beach is just a few minutes away, and there’s a very good pub next door.
