Hotel Kristall

The hotel is in a beautiful spot, not far from the bus or train station. Breakfast was very good, and I'd highly recommend the half-board menu.

The food was good, and the staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. They even spoke excellent Italian. Our suite was beautiful and spacious, with a private bathroom and separate toilet and shower rooms, each with a double sink, though there was no bidet or shower head. The 43-inch TV wasn't smart. I was surprised to find the information signs in the rooms and sauna only in German. We were in Italy, and I feel hotel information should be bilingual, with English included as well. I stayed at the Landhaus Hotel Kristall from July 2nd to 7th, 2025. It's a 4-star hotel 350 meters above sea level, not far from Merano, but it has no air conditioning. I had assumed a 4-star hotel in Marlengo, where summers have been especially hot for several years, would have it, just as I'd expect heating at a 4-star place at 2,000 meters. Instead, we had to put up with the heat. Luckily, our corner suite let us cool things down with the large windows, while a small but noisy fan ran. Next time I'll look more carefully into the hotel's features and amenities before booking, rather than assuming.

What stood out most was how kind and professional all the staff were. Special mention to Hasna, who was always smiling and sweet with the kids. They loved her from the first day. We were two families with children, staying at the end of July/beginning of August, and had a wonderful time with the organization and location. We relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the sauna. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. We'd highly recommend it.

We spent three days here with a group of 20 and were very happy with the stay. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, and there's a lovely view of Merano. Breakfast had an excellent selection with something for everyone, and the evening meals were tasty and very good. We'd gladly stay for a few more days another time.
