Our room was spacious and spotless, with a lovely balcony looking out over the forest. It was such a peaceful place to relax. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special thanks to the manager, Alexander, for making us feel welcome and looked after during our stay at Piccolo Hotel Marlingerhof. I'd happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Comfy beds with really nice linen. The location is good, off the motorway and close to the station.

The man at reception was rude and obnoxious, and not helpful at all. At first he couldn't find our booking. When he did, he wanted to charge extra because our daughter was staying with us, even though the booking showed we'd paid for three adults. Reception is meant to close at midnight, but when we got back at 11:30 PM it was already shut, and he hadn't given us a key. Luckily another guest arrived and let us in. The next day, when we asked for a key, he asked what time we'd be back, as though we were teenagers rather than paying guests. There was mould in the shower and stains on the bedding. To make things worse, he shouted at the cleaner in front of guests. Completely unacceptable.

We had to catch an 8 AM bus to Oberstdorf, but couldn't find a taxi to the bus station. The hotel offered to take us without hesitation. Such an amazing gesture. The staff were outstanding and super friendly.

The rooms were old, and the service was bad. He'd given our rooms to someone else. He only sold beer to one person, and we got one only because they did. Breakfast was terrible, mostly empty with nothing replenished. Stay away, for God's sake.
