Villa Olivi

The scenery is breathtaking, the pool is beautiful and sunny, and the owners are kind and helpful. The apartments are immaculately clean, comfortable, and equipped with every comfort, in a 400-year-old village tucked into the Tuscan countryside. It’s easy to reach from the highway and well placed for visiting Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. Once a week, they organize an evening for all the guests to try homemade pizza from a wood-fired oven. I recommend spending a few days in this enchanting place!

The owners are always around when you need them, and they're courteous too. We spent a week here in August with the family, staying in this lovely old hamlet with its stone farmhouses. The pool looks like it belongs right in the setting, and the place makes a great spot to unwind while exploring one of Tuscany's prettiest areas. WiFi only reaches some rooms, though it wasn't a big issue for us. We'd definitely come back.

The valley view from the pool is lovely, and the house itself is charming, well cared for, and full of nice little details. We also enjoyed an evening of homemade pizza made by the owner and manager. It works well as a base for Florence and Lucca, both about 30 minutes away, and Pisa, around an hour away. Highly recommended.

Lucca is about 45 minutes away and Florence around 30, and the area is great for hiking. The setting in the beautiful Apennines of northern Tuscany was gorgeous. It used to be a small monastery, and now there are a few apartments and a lovely swimming pool.
