Residence Del Baco Direttamente Al Lago

We stayed as a couple in garden studio room 1 from 21 to 29 June 2024. The setting was excellent, with fantastic views and secure parking. Marone is small, but bars and restaurants are an easy walk away. Inside, the studio was spacious and well equipped, with plenty of pans and crockery, a kettle, filter coffee machine, and toaster. Outside we had our own little area with a table, chairs, BBQ, and parasol, and recliner chairs were provided for the deck. The biggest problem was the damp smell in the room. It hit as soon as we walked in. Both chests of drawers smelled awful, so we couldn't put our clothes in them, and the bed felt damp too. Our towels also took several days to dry because of the damp and rainy weather. We understood that towels should be reused for cost and environmental reasons, but being given just one set each for an eight night stay felt unreasonable. We were told extra towels and bedding would cost more. The deck by the lake is lovely, but there's barely any shade. From the photos and reviews, I thought we'd be able to use the roof terrace and a garden, but the terrace is private and there's no garden. Parasols on the deck would be appreciated. Our outdoor space had useful things, but the area that used to be lawn is now overgrown with weeds and clearly not maintained. Artificial grass or easy-care paving could make it more inviting.
