Hotel Dinarica

The room decor isn't really to my taste and could do with an update. Apart from that, the property is well designed and clean, with friendly staff, and it looks out over the beach.

We booked full board, and the meals were excellent, with generous servings and really good quality. The staff were professional, warm, and helpful, and the service and facilities were better than I expected. The location is just right, right by the sea and only steps from the beach. Our rooms were spacious too. We had a wonderful week here with the family, and I'd highly recommend it. Such a pleasant surprise.

We booked a balcony room facing the beach. It was large, with a double bed, two singles, a wardrobe, a very small TV, a safe, and not much else. The bathroom was average, with a nice shower and very clean fittings. There wasn't an electrical outlet in there, so a razor or hair dryer has to be used outside the bathroom. The hotel is big, with lots of rooms across four floors. From a seafront room you can open the window and feel the sea breeze; other rooms need a step onto the balcony for a sea view. We saw on Booking that breakfast and a beach umbrella were included in the room price. Breakfast was included, but we were charged €25 a day for the umbrella. I didn't argue at the time, but wanted to flag it here. The beach is right across the street, which is a big plus. There's no hotel parking, though blue street spaces cost €8 a day, and finding one in high season can be difficult.

We stopped for one night on the way home from vacation. The location is great and the rooms were clean, but ours didn't look like the photos on the website or online. The furnishings feel stuck in the '70s, and the welcome wasn't especially warm. The price is low, though I guess it has to be.
