Amelié's House

The room was lovely and clean, and the location is convenient, about ten minutes from the salt pans and twenty from San Teodoro beach. The owners were friendly, helpful, and available whenever we needed anything. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and we’ll come back when we get the chance.

Communication with the owner was excellent, and arriving quite late in the evening wasn’t a problem. We got lots of useful suggestions for places to see and eat. The room was clean, well equipped, and had a lovely feel, with thoughtful holiday touches throughout Amerlie's house, which is run by a wonderful family. There’s a bakery right next door, and we’d especially recommend the ricotta croissants. We also had a great dinner on the porch after getting excellent pizza from a place about fifteen minutes from the apartment. A lovely base for exploring western Sicily.

We felt completely at home with this warm, helpful family, and we’d love to return. It’s a peaceful place to relax and dream, with many places easy to reach from there. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

My stay fell through before it even started. Booking seemed fine, but I wouldn’t recommend arranging it by phone. If there’s nothing else available, book through Booking.com so you can get a refund if you need to cancel. The person I dealt with was extremely rude. Read the details carefully too: there’s no air conditioning, only a fan, and no mosquito nets. In a country house in summer, with plenty of mosquitoes in the area, that’s a problem. Honestly, I’d go somewhere else.
