Isola Lunga Salt Resort

The food was a real highlight, with fresh ingredients and carefully prepared local dishes. Both lunch and dinner were superb. The salt wellness tubs were an unusual and surprisingly restorative experience. The owners were attentive and kind, making us feel looked after without hovering. We stayed from Sunday to Monday morning, and the peaceful setting, surrounded by pristine nature, felt like a little paradise. We can't wait to return.

We came from Australia as newlyweds and spent one day and night there. The room had a perfect view, and dinner was excellent. The owners, Giacomo and Adele, joined us for dinner and were humble people. Giacomo also pointed out and explained different constellations in the starry sky. It was a wonderful experience.

The ride back by boat was so relaxing, with music playing as we looked up at the stars again. The captain, a real gentleman of the sea with semi-long hair, deserves a round of applause. So does the Lord, who gave us his usual simple but engaging explanation of the constellations at the end of the evening. The owners were both attentive to our impressions, she with class and resourcefulness, he with a simple manner. Staff were attentive all the way from the bar welcome through dinner to our farewell. We crossed the Stagnone reserve on a comfortable boat to reach this splendid oasis. During the walk, staff gave us a brief introduction to its history and natural resources. We had a drink at the bar and enjoyed the sunset and view while waiting for dinner. The meal was excellent, simple but complete, and we couldn't resist seconds of both first courses. The risotto was especially delicious. Dinner under the stars on August 14th was pure magic, thanks to the nature, atmosphere, simplicity, and excellent organization. We spent the morning through the afternoon relaxing in the salt tubs and having mud treatments. It left us feeling refreshed and pleasantly well. The guide was kind and attentive, and the restaurant where we had lunch was really good. The only downside was that some menu items weren't available, which made sense since the season was nearly over. It was an unusual and unforgettable experience.
