Seawater Hotel Bio & Beauty Spa

As someone who lives locally and was checking the hotel for friends, I can't recommend it. We booked a couples spa and massage, but there was only one beautician available. The pool area is lovely, though there were no staff or lifeguard poolside, which we felt breached health and safety legislation. At checkout the next day, we learned that pool towels had to be requested from reception on arrival, and that the shift manager was responsible for poolside safety. The room also wasn't what I expected from a Junior suite. It was a large room with an extra sofa bed, not a suite. At over £150 a night, I was surprised there was no complimentary water, especially for a hotel with 4-star status. Marsala prides itself on seafood, but both dishes I ordered tasted acidic, as if the fish had been defrosted and left. The hotel feels understaffed, poorly managed, and overpriced.

We didn't use the spa since it has to be booked ahead and costs extra, and the pools were closed for winter. The hotel has excellent staff and service, good wifi, free private parking, and welcomes dogs. Breakfast was very good and varied, with great pane cunzato. Our room was clean and comfortable, but noisy because nearly all the rooms face the busy road out front. You'll need a car to get to anywhere to eat, as it's far from places to dine.

We enjoyed the food and the spa, and there's a special spot to dry kite gear overnight. The Seawater hotel is a very nice, comfortable place to stay. The staff are really friendly, and we'd come back.

We stayed for a full week as a family with children and had not a single negative thing to say. The staff were respectful and polite whenever we dealt with them. Our rooms were clean and in good condition, and breakfast was tasty. There was parking for the car and the pools were available. Thanks to everyone who looked after us.
