La Vasella B&B

The suite with the whirlpool tub was almost the size of a small apartment, but it had huge potential that wasn't being put to use. Hygiene was poor: the bidet towels were dirty, and we had to stop at a supermarket to buy two towels and a hair dryer. Water leaked from the air conditioning, leaving a musty smell. I won't comment on breakfast, except that there was an opened, partly eaten panettone in a box on the table. Back in high school, a capable student who didn't apply themselves might get a low mark, like a 2. That's why I have to give this property that rating. I hope the review helps the owner, because a little effort could make a difference.

The place looks very nice, but it's badly maintained. The hot tub was dirty and covered in limescale, the shower was clogged, and the hand soap was left open like something in a bar bathroom. Towels were worn and dirty, especially the bidet towel, which had blood on it. Breakfast was toast, packaged jam, cereal boxes already open, and maybe even a partly opened panettone. The few positive reviews must be from friends, surely. They should focus on something else. This was obscene, go elsewhere or you'll waste your money.

The rooms are nicely decorated and have air conditioning. We stayed in one with a whirlpool tub and a really comfortable walk-in closet. There’s a large garden and beautiful pool for guests, and the setting is private and genuinely relaxing. It’s family-run, with a very helpful manager. The Deruta Centro exit is a minute away, and Perugia city center is 15 minutes away. I highly recommend it for a restful stay in beautiful Umbria.

The owner was generally helpful, and the garden outside was pretty, though very neglected. The rooms could have been nice, but they were missing too many small things needed for comfort: clothes hangers, shower curtains, shower gel, cotton sheets, and bath towels. I booked the stay for some very dear friends, and unfortunately it left me looking bad.
