Agriturismo Villa Coluccia

The farm itself had a lovely atmosphere, and the rooms were cozy and nice. We had a great stay at villa collucia, thanks in large part to the warm and welcoming hostess, Mariangelo. She put together a delicious homemade breakfast spread each day. It was so good we might come back 🥰

We needed insect repellent, especially in the afternoon, though the host could lend some. Apart from that, this was an awesome villa for a few days exploring southern Puglia. The host was amazing and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was great and Italian in style, mostly coffee and something sweet, with every meal sourced locally.

We loved the relaxed setting at Villa Coluccia, surrounded by olive and orange trees, with stars overhead at night. The house is spacious and modern, an old historic townhouse renovated and elegantly furnished while keeping its rustic charm. We especially liked the gas stove and large terrace for breakfast and dinner. Even though it’s apart from the village and other houses, we always felt safe. Martano is 1.5 km away, with supermarkets, nice restaurants, churches, and the best nocciola ice cream we’d had so far. We spent two weeks there and enjoyed every day, exploring old villages for an authentic feel of southern Italy. Mariangela runs the villa with her mother and sister, and they seemed like a close team who really cared for their guests. They looked after the rooms, plants, and vegetable field, answered all our questions, and pointed us to good beaches, beautiful cities, and the best coffee in town. Breakfast outside each morning was a treat, with Italian coffee, fruit from the garden, homemade marmalade, and cakes. My boyfriend missed a proper German breakfast and found the morning sweets a bit odd at first, but we both came to love the delicious chocolate cakes. Mariangela’s mother cleaned the whole house every day, which gave us a hotel-like feeling we really enjoyed. We hadn’t realized from the description that we’d be sharing the kitchen with two other guestrooms. Villa Coluccia is a great fit for an authentic Italian vacation, with a location made for relaxing and recharging. We’d love to spend our next vacation there, and since returning to Germany we’ve missed the place, Mariangela, her mother, and her sister.

The villa sits peacefully among olive trees, not far from Martano, and was a wonderful place for our family of three. Its location worked well for discovering Salento’s cultural sites and beaches. Mariaangela was the best host, kind and full of ideas for exploring Puglia. Her cakes were super good too. Thank you!
