B&B La Porta D'Oriente

Mrs. Anna was always around with advice and tips when we needed them. The B&B is lovely and well maintained, and the location works really well for exploring the different parts of Salento.

A really convenient base for getting around Puglia. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Breakfast is served at Levante bar, just a few hundred meters away. They have excellent traditional Lecce sweets there, especially the amazing pasticciotti. The property was clean and comfortable in a quiet part of town, about a twenty-minute drive from Otranto. Anna, the owner, was very kind and available to answer questions.

The bar breakfast and the restaurant they recommended were both excellent. We arrived by bicycle on the southern Via Francigena, and about 10 km from Martano, around 6:00 PM, all six of our tires went flat across three bikes. We didn't have enough repair supplies and darkness was coming, but Vincenzo came to get us with two cars. The next day he took us to a local cyclist, who had all the bikes fixed in about an hour. The villa is clean, tidy, and very welcoming, with a garden. It's 500 meters from the center of Martano and 18 km from Otranto. The owners are always smiling and quick to help sort things out. We highly recommend them.
