We booked this place because we had a wedding nearby. The valley has plenty of charming places to stay, and this one had some charm too, but our experience was really negative. My partner and I booked a double room that was barely 10 square meters, bathroom included. There was no bidet, which I could overlook, but the shower was old and dirty, with a torn plastic curtain that didn’t even cover the opening. The soap dispenser inside was completely rusty, and there were worms on the floor. Even the white floor mat had turned brownish. There were two tiny windows and a French door at the entrance, but no mosquito screens. Without the air blasting, the room felt suffocating; otherwise, mosquitoes were a problem. Since we were there before a wedding, we had clothes to hang, but had to put them on the bed. The only other hanger was a stand tucked in a niche above the oven and coffee machine, not useful at all. I couldn’t use the outdoor pool area either. Two stray kittens were very cute, but, at seven months pregnant, I didn’t want them climbing and jumping on the towels, loungers, and everything else. If I looked away, they’d get into the room, which happened twice. Not workable for me. €120 was the worst money I’ve ever spent.

We arrived on August 15th and immediately felt like switching off and relaxing. It’s a great spot for couples or families. Piero, the owner, greeted us with smiles and croissants. I also got a flat tire on the way there, and even though it was mid-August and a holiday, he found a way to get it replaced. We were very satisfied.

Everything was cared for down to the smallest details, and the place was spotless as well as comfortable. It’s an enchanting spot, and my friends and I were made to feel very welcome. The owner was warm, kind, and always ready to help. We can’t wait to come back.

Piero was wonderful, always ready to help and full of great ideas for how to spend our days. We had such lovely days at the grove. The room was thoughtfully arranged, and the lady would leave us something to eat, like fresh fruit or croissants. We’ll be back soon.
