Terrazze Sulla Valle

The room in stone was beautiful, and the private parking and terrace were great to have. The accommodation is right in the heart of Martine France and close to Alberobello. What stood out most was getting the typical Alberobello experience in the Trulli cottages. The owner was friendly and welcoming.

Mimmo gave us a lift to the train station himself when we asked if he could arrange a taxi. That generosity summed up our hosts’ care from booking right through to leaving. We’d only planned to come to meet family, but a change of plans meant we needed an extra night in Martina. We called, and they readily agreed, saying we could pay for it when we arrived. When we got there, Mimmo greeted us kindly and showed us to a beautifully decorated and furnished room. His wife had baked biscuits and cakes, which were waiting on a small plate. The next morning he offered us another room in the 18th Century Trulli. That solved a small problem with noise from the family next to our first room. The new room was simple but tastefully furnished, very clean, and had an incredible atmosphere. We only wish we’d stayed longer. The peaceful property has a well-kept garden and an orchard of fruit trees, all inside a gated area, with stunning views over the Valle D'Itria (Itria Valley). It’s on the edge of town but an easy walk to the historic centre and the rest of Martina Franca. There’s a restaurant about five minutes away on foot, and further up the hill are lovely delicatessens selling authentic local produce. We’re deeply grateful for all the effort our hosts put into making the stay memorable and truly restful. They deserve 100 stars, not five. We’re sorry this review is so long, but there was so much good to say. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely see you again, hopefully next year! ☹️

A lovely home in a beautifully restored Trullo, with the most wonderful hosts. Highly recommend it if you want to explore the area. Five stars all around.
