The apartment is new and modern, and it has air conditioning in both rooms. I hardly used it because the natural ventilation was usually enough. I really appreciated the balcony for dining. The furnishings are very basic, and the kitchenette facilities are lacking. The location is excellent, practically right on the beach.

The staff were friendly, and the sea-view balcony was a lovely touch. Being right by the beach at a good price made it a great value.

The biggest disappointment was the sea. Although the residence is close to the beach, pollution and slime made the water unusable. I felt like I was wading through mud, not enjoying the beautiful sea I expected. I later read online that the stretch between Martinsicuro and Alba Adriatica is among the most polluted in Abruzzo, with the Vibrata and Tronto rivers discharging water there. Articles from previous years also suggested this can be a recurring issue and mentioned a possible E. coli risk. Never again. The apartment was supposed to sleep four, but with the sofa bed open there was no room to maneuver it around. The bed had broken slats, and the bedpans were old, scratched, and unusable. The air conditioning in the living room was old and loud; in the bedroom it didn't work, and it leaked. There was no soundproofing, so every noise carried. The basics were very basic: just one roll of toilet paper and no soap for washing our hands on arrival. The garage was so narrow that getting around in it was a chore. The price was really low for the quality. In fact, most of the guests are from Eastern Europe.

Right in central Martinsicuro, this residence is by the beach, with public and private beach areas close by. It's clean and well kept, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The furnishings are simple and modern, with just the essentials. The kitchen has the basic utensils you need, which worked well for a stay focused on being outdoors and swimming. Recommended.
