Casitta proved worthy of all the good reviews. The hosts were friendly and had contacted us on WhatsApp before the trip with information about arriving. It’s a great starting point for trips to Mount Etna and Taormina, and Mascali train station is a 10-minute walk away, handy for taking the Trenitalia train to Catania. The kitchen was well equipped, with pasta and tasty tomato sauce waiting as a welcome gift. Many thanks to Tiziana and Sebastiano. I’d definitely book here again if I’m in the area.

We loved the care put into the details and the warm welcome, even from the neighbors. The house was spotless and inviting, and the price felt fair. With parking right out front, it’s convenient for everything, just a few kilometers from the highway, Taormina, and plenty more. The beach is 2 km away, wide and seemingly endless, perfect for hours of walking. And behind us was “a muntagna,” Mount Etna, practically a continent. We’ll return to Etna in fall or winter for the hiking, the scents, the festivals, and the snow.

Small, comfortable, and set up with everything we needed. It’s right in the center, close to the sea, and only a few kilometers from Taormina, Mount Etna, Catania, and other places. The owners were very kind and helpful, and the neighbors were polite and kept to themselves.

It felt like being at home, and the helpful staff could speak several languages, which made the stay especially relaxing. The furnishings are carefully chosen for comfort. With Mount Etna on one side and the sea nearby, it works well in any season.
