Mrs. Antonella made us feel at home, and her cooking brings old Sicilian recipes and traditions to the table. The farmhouse uses produce from its own garden. Children can see the donkeys, many chickens with organic eggs, and protected goats. There are also stray dogs staying there while they wait to be adopted. The property has three new rooms decorated in Sicilian style, and it's set among the woods of Etna Park. There's lots of outdoor space, with a playground and a barbecue area. For a small fee, you can spend the day there with friends or family and grill your own food. Highly recommended!
The owners are very kind, and the food, animals, and games for little ones are nice touches. It's an old farmhouse that's been renovated, surrounded by greenery and a lovely hazelnut grove. I haven't seen the rooms myself, so I can't comment on them. Four stars to encourage improvements to the services, and a few more amenities would be welcome.
The prices aren't exorbitant, and the food is authentic and plentiful. Staff and owners are friendly. There's a big green park set up for picnics and games for little ones, with friendly donkeys and goats to brighten a walk through the greenery. What more could you ask for?
Everything else was fine, but the drinks came in ordinary, unsealed bottles, so they were fountain water. They were warm as well.
