The hosts made us feel at home throughout our stay. Valentin and his family were kind, attentive, and full of thoughtful suggestions for hiking trails. We enjoyed the conversations and they made sure we had everything we needed. Their care showed in the farm-fresh, local products at the homemade à-la-carte breakfast, a lovely start to the day after nights in the comfortable, well-equipped apartment. Mudlerhof in Preindl, Valle di Casies is tucked into a quiet valley, a peaceful escape from the busier tourist areas. From the apartment we could set off on excellent mountain hikes, reaching over 2000 meters without using a car. The included tourist cards cover buses and trains, even for dogs and bikes, which made trips to San Candido, Cortina, Lake of Braies, Val di Funes, and Tre Cime di Lavaredo easy. Mudlerhof brings together comfort, nature and warm hospitality. I’d recommend it to hikers and anyone looking for a quiet Dolomites getaway away from the crowds.

What a great place to pause after a beautiful hike. The mountain scenery is unmatched, with the whole valley spread out below. The dining room is so well kept that you want to linger, and the apple strudel was the highlight. Friendly service made the stop even better.

The farm had all sorts of activities with Mrs. Agata, plus lots of animals to pet. It made for a special, one-of-a-kind holiday. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing, and the apartments were spacious, bright, clean and equipped with every comfort.

Our two-year-old daughter loved the farm most of all, especially the play equipment and animals. We spent a wonderful week there at the end of August, staying in a very spacious, almost luxurious Sunnig Apartments unit at the Mudlerhof farm. It was fully equipped and even had a small private sauna, with a phenomenal view. Breakfast came with a choice of fresh farm and regional products, and there was a good range of restaurants a short drive away for dinner. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and we wished we could have stayed longer.
