There's a bus stop right by the entrance, on the route into central Sorrento, which made getting around easy. From the hotel, you can look out over the Bay of Naples toward Capri, and the views are stunning. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds, a nice bathroom, and air conditioning. Staff were excellent, quick to answer questions and ready to help with whatever we needed. Meals were delicious too, with plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet and a changing menu in the evening. There's a rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views, plus a spa, though we didn't try either. A lovely hotel, and those views really stay with you.

The staff made everything easy, from the helpful front desk team who arranged a great Amalfi Coast boat tour and day spa visit to the attentive people at the restaurant, spa, and bar. The food and menu options were excellent, with daily specials, and the drinks were very good. I enjoyed a massage and the indoor pool, while the outdoor pool was nice too. Our room was comfortable and had a balcony with spectacular views of Capri. We stayed four nights and found the place wonderfully relaxing. The photos are accurate, and prices were reasonable. This was the best choice I made on my trip to Italy.

I had to catch a train when the road into Sorrento was closed on checkout day. The front desk heard I was in a rush and drove me in their own car as close to Sorrento as the closure allowed. That saved me an hour and the hassle of taking buses the other way. They really didn't need to do that, and I'm very grateful for their help. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful, with a clear view of the mountains. It must be one of the area's most majestic places to start the day. There's a cave-like indoor pool that's unique and gorgeous, along with massages for 70 Euro. You'll need to book a time at the front desk. To reach the hotel from the city center, take the bus up the hill. It costs 1.5-2 Euro, payable in cash or with a ticket bought at a T tabacco.

We came as two couples and found this a very good base for the Sorento area. Having a car would be better, though you can get around by bus from the hotel. A couple of the rules felt odd, like the towel charge and the restricted hours for the indoor pool, but it's still a very good place.
