The staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They were always ready to help, whether with tips about viewpoints and roads, parking advice, or restaurant suggestions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and breakfast had plenty of fresh local choices. We had wonderful sea and mountain views from the room and shared areas, with beautiful sunsets at the hotel each evening. The scenery was stunning every morning, too. The location along the Amalfi Coast was unbeatable and easy to reach. We’re so sad to leave tonight after such a great stay. It had a lovely Amalfi feel, and we’ll definitely return.

Mara and the restaurant team, Cristian, Peppe and Salvatore, made every meal a pleasure with warm hospitality and great service. Maurizio, Luca and Patricia at reception were always friendly, helpful and professional. The whole team looked after us and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout. We also loved the spa and made good use of the hot tub, which was a real highlight and so relaxing. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable for us and our family. Thanks to everyone for making the trip memorable. We’d happily come back and recommend it.

Our honeymoon at Freedom Relais Hotel & Spa in Sorrento, from 1-11 October 2025, was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. We paid extra for upgraded rooms and facilities, but what was advertised didn’t match what we got. We contacted the hotel a week ago to try to sort things out before posting publicly, but heard nothing. For the price and such an important occasion, the hotel failed to deliver. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and would give zero stars if we could. In Room 204, sold as self-catering with a private jacuzzi bath, there was no kitchenette, only a fridge, so we couldn’t even make coffee. The plug didn’t fit the bath, and the water pressure was too weak to fill it. There was a strong sewage smell from the bathroom drains and no proper storage. We were moved to Room 101, described as an upgrade, but its hot tub was broken and wouldn’t heat. The shower pressure was still poor, the bed was uncomfortable, and the TVs weren’t smart TVs as expected at a “spa hotel.” Breakfast was extremely poor: food was gone by 9 a.m., and there was nothing suitable for guests with allergies. The bread contained egg, cross-contamination was an issue, and utensils were shared between the meat and egg dishes. The dinner menu was unclear, and the only thing my husband could eat was cheese pizza, so we didn’t eat at the hotel again. We were given an outdated bus timetable and missed transport twice. The jacuzzi in the private spa area felt slimy, and the water was cloudy and frothy, so it didn’t feel hygienic or safe. There was visible green algae or scum around the main pool edges. At night, dogs barking, car horns, scooters and fireworks went on until 2 a.m. The noise was terrible and nothing like the relaxing spa retreat advertised.

We rented a villa nearby and had dinner at the resort restaurant with 13 people. The food was really nice and the service was perfect. A beautiful resort.
