We were looking forward to a lovely lunch in beautiful Capri with dear friends, a cool breeze, and a view. Our waiters were attentive and polite, and the Prosecco seemed perfect for the occasion. Then a pigeon landed on the floor. Instead of shooing it away, another waiter kicked it quite hard. It was horrifying to see. I quietly asked to speak with the manager and explained what we'd witnessed. I'm a veterinarian, and I told him this wasn't acceptable. He acted as though he didn't understand, even though I'd heard him speak perfect English. He never apologized or said he'd speak to the waiter. Instead, he made weak excuses for kicking the pigeon and seemed indifferent to both what happened and how upset I was. He took no responsibility for his staff's inhumane act, and as we were leaving, he and the waiter were laughing. This may be a high-class restaurant, but kicking a pigeon was cruel, no matter that it was a pigeon. The bird could have been shooed away without being kicked. Shame on that waiter. He may work in a classy establishment, but he might as well be a street thug. It really spoiled what should have been a beautiful lunch. I'll never go back. So sad to think they considered this okay.

For €300 a night, I expected better. Our family room reeked of tobacco, the service didn't match the price, and the staff acted as if letting us stay was a favor. Very disappointing. I wouldn't return.

It's only about 500 meters from the beach, which is a big plus. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, and we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Luna. It's one of the best places we've stayed, and I can't recommend it enough. Cheers!

Breakfast was better than what we got at other hotels in Italy, and the beach is easy to reach from here. Our room looked modern, as if it had been renovated recently, but we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, even toilets, alarms, and TVs. It made falling asleep difficult, and another room's alarm woke us early. The hotel is beside a busy road, so you’ll hear traffic if your room is on the sixth floor.

The pool area was clean and pleasant, with enough sun beds, a tidy little bar, and clean shared toilets. It was a nice spot to relax, and breakfast was better than at other places I’ve stayed in Italy. Staff were okay and their English was good enough, though not great. The rooms were hot and stuffy, with an odd smell that might have come from poorly maintained air conditioning, which also didn’t work properly. The shower or bath knobs were loose or broken, and the hotel is right by a busy street.
