Casa Versilia Hotel

We found a welcoming little hotel by the sea at a fair price, open in the second half of October. It felt like home, and honestly deserves an extra star. The building isn’t new, but it’s cheerful and very well kept, and our room was spotless. We were riding from Ravenna on the Adriatic coast to the Tyrrhenian Sea for a weekend, and on Saturday night the few restaurants still open out of season were often full. So we took the hotel up on its aperitif offer, and it was a perfect choice: everything was tasty and local. Our bike was safe in the courtyard, which was locked at a certain time. The breakfast had an excellent selection and quality. Bravo!

Paola, the owner, and Luisa, her right-hand woman, were wonderful. I had a very pleasant stay and will definitely be back. For my birthday, I wanted a weekend by myself, so I booked Casa Versilia. Marina di Massa is like a second home to me, but I’d never stayed here before. It was truly worth it, and thanks for everything.

That aperitif dinner is a real treat, so I recommend trying it. Paola and Luisa are incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive to what guests need. The location is strategic, and I had an excellent stay. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back!

The property is a peaceful place for an overnight stay, about a 5-minute walk from the sea. It has basic comforts, a well-kept, simple but elegant feel, and indoor parking. Rooms are small, but fine for the limited time you spend in them when you’re here for the sea. There’s no air conditioning, only fans, but we never missed having AC. Breakfast was sweet, plentiful, and varied. It may have included savory choices at other times, but I’m not sure.
