The staff are really nice, and the price is quite low. The building is beautiful and sits right by the beach, although the beach has a commercial-port feel that may put you off swimming. It’s a very informal hostel: internet barely works, and hot showers are only available at certain times, even when you need one. The dorms feel like military barracks. It’s also quite far from the station, with little nearby besides lots of campsites, so having your own transport is a good idea.

The rooms are shabby, the restaurant is expensive and low quality, the cooking area is dirty, and it gets loud at night. I wouldn’t recommend it, even for school groups. The nearby beaches are okay, but nothing special. They felt more like the Baltic Sea than the Mediterranean, apart from the huge number of sea urchins. The beach beside the hostel is covered in trash, and metal in the sand makes it dangerous. Update: there were bed bugs or fleas, and some of us took them home.

We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The rooms were fine, there were always lovely people staying, and Ostello provides lots of good facilities. The owners and staff were wonderful.
