In room 7, the high open ceiling kept things cool, with the air conditioning helping too. It’s an affordable B&B in Massafra’s historic center, and the bright, spacious entrance is a nice touch. Small shops nearby cover everyday needs, though Lidl and the bigger supermarkets are a bit far away. A few things took getting used to. The fridge was noisy at night, so I shut it in the bathroom; the wall doesn’t go all the way up, but that muffled it somewhat. There’s no dish rack in the kitchen, so you’ll want to keep the dishes and pots to a minimum. The shower is roomy, but the water comes out in a very small stream and getting the temperature right is difficult, almost like a free Turkish bath 😊. There weren’t any containers or cups, and the washing machine looked battered, though it worked. Watch out for parking, the spaces are all blue and you can’t stay longer than an hour.

The price feels fair for what’s provided, including a washing machine, TV, and gas stove. It’s a distinctive place, right in the historic center.
