Villa Aniana is a good choice for a quiet holiday in the Italian countryside. The hotel restaurant served a good breakfast each morning, with a range of hot and cold options, quality ingredients, and excellent coffee. We also had dinner there one night, and the seafood was exceptional. The setting is rural, in a tiny traditional Italian village, with a cafeteria and pizzeria about a five-minute walk from the centre. We spent several afternoons relaxing by the garden pool. It’s even more beautiful in person, with lovely valley views, plenty of sunbeds, and a clean, uncrowded feel. The free high-speed Wi-Fi worked reliably in our room. Our room was simple, spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom was rather old but clean. The service was impeccable. Nobody we encountered spoke English, but every staff member was professional, friendly, and eager to help. My family spent a few days there, and we honestly couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. I recommend Villa Aniana.

The view was spectacular, and the staff were kind. People around here seem to know the place, but the decor feels old fashioned and tries too hard to look elegant and refined. The whole place and the food come across as pretentious, cheap, and affected, without any real style. The food itself was incredibly dull, even though it was served with a lot of airs.

We felt at home right away in the welcoming, friendly atmosphere. A special thanks to Francesco and Chef Simone for a meal that’s well worth trying. Villa Aniana’s pinsas were a real treat, with intense aromas, refined ingredients, and a wonderful balance of flavours. We tried the Pinsa Special of the week, topped with fior di latte, buffalo mozzarella, Cantabrian anchovies, turnip greens, and yellow cherry tomatoes, then served with stracciatella, artichokes, and lime. It was fresh, elegant, and surprising. We also had "That...", with fior di latte, mozzarella, smoked scamorza, golden onions, and guanciale. Bold and rich, it was simply irresistible. Congratulations! 👏
