Casa Civetta

The owner offered us €97 back after we complained, which was less than 8%. Even with that discount, we felt the apartment was worth only half of what we paid. We’ve been coming to this area for years, and this was the worst place we’ve stayed. We were in apartment no. 4 with our family from August 13th to 20th. It’s on the ground floor, faces east toward the mountain, and gets very little light. There’s no balcony, so the spacious living room was the only place to hang clothes. The kitchen was especially dark. A fake LED strip had been fitted to make up for the poor lighting, but it was powered from an outlet right behind the sink faucet. We unplugged it straight away because it seemed dangerous. The bathroom fan didn’t work. Its only ventilation was a small window onto the entrance hallway, which raised serious privacy concerns. The bunk-bed room was usable, but the main bedroom was not: there was no room for bedside tables, the wardrobe doors wouldn’t open fully, and the drawers were broken or didn’t work properly. Space constraints also meant they couldn’t open all the way.
