Al Cappuccino Vecchio

Mr. Donato welcomed us with real warmth and professionalism, and helped make our short visit to beautiful Matera pleasant and interesting. The accommodation was excellent, with new, very clean rooms, all the comforts, and a charming, peaceful view. It's about a 15-minute walk from the center. Highly recommended. Greetings from Turin.

We found this lovely place in Matera Nuova after a long search for somewhere to stay over the Immaculate Conception long weekend. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise: an old convent with spotless, new rooms, a coffee machine, free snacks, and water. The Sassi are a 10-minute walk away. Great price and fantastic staff. I recommend it!

The owner was very kind and gave us plenty of useful tips for seeing Matera. The property is new, clean, easy to reach, and has ample parking right beside it. Our large room had everything we needed, including a minibar, coffee machine, AC, TV, snacks, a comfortable bed, and an immaculate bathroom. Excellent value for money. Breakfast at the bar is a short 30-meter walk away and was great. One tip: pick up focaccia from the oven next to the bar and take a couple of kilos home. Thanks for a lovely long weekend.

We stayed on August 21st. The new property has everything you need for a pleasant holiday near the Sassi, and the rooms are spacious, well furnished, and comfortable for four, with a private garden. The only letdown was the low-quality breakfast served outside.
