We added a night in Matera at the last minute and stayed in the queen suite. The owners still got us checked in as soon as they could, and offered help with tours, restaurant suggestions, and bookings. We had a lovely drink and breakfast on the little patio looking out over the sassi. The room has a coffee and breakfast station with toast, jam, juice, water, and coffee, along with a hair dryer and air conditioning. The bed and shower were both comfortable, and the suite was spacious with lovely views from every window. It’s close to the main sights. There are some steps to manage, and Matera’s streets can be slippery, so packing light is a good idea. As advertised, Wi-Fi is only available in reception, not the rooms. Google Maps gives the wrong location, but the owners arrange to meet you at a meeting point and show you the way.

We really enjoyed the tasty, typically Italian breakfast and the friendly service, including daily room cleaning. The location was perfect, and the balcony had a great view. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Right in central Matera, with a comfortable, clean room and a lovely atmosphere. Everything I wanted to see was nearby, and I’d happily come back.

The hostess was warm, polite, and ready to help with whatever we needed, which made us feel very welcome. The place was spotless, well kept, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Its location was ideal for exploring the old city. I’d choose it again and would gladly recommend it.
