The double room overlooking the Sasso Barisano had a breathtaking view. The terrace is shared, but with only three rooms it still feels intimate and private. Salvatore greeted us warmly, showed us the main sights, and suggested an agency for city tours. He was one of the best hosts we’ve met on our travels. The owner was kind and very helpful. We parked outside the historic center, moved our luggage into his car, and he drove us right to the building. The location is central and convenient for any kind of itinerary. Everything was just as described, and actually even better. Highly recommended for couples and families!

From the high point where it sits, the property is only a few minutes’ walk from the main square and the many places to eat scattered around the city. The outdoor balcony looks across the whole Sasso Barisano, a breathtaking view that was especially spellbinding at night. The owner was kind and helpful from the start. Highly recommended!

Mr. Bianchi clearly cares about his hometown. At check-in, he patiently and enthusiastically shared cultural and dining suggestions so guests can enjoy Matera’s many attractions. The recently renovated room is nicely furnished, has a small kitchenette, and includes all the amenities listed. We had a wonderful stay. A huge thank you for everything, highly recommended. Tiziana

The shared balcony has spectacular views of the Sasso Barisano. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the owner was very kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right next to Matera Cathedral.

The rooms are spacious and spotless, and the owner is very kind and happy to offer directions and advice. The B&B is right next to the Duomo, with a wonderful view of the Sassi.
