Sleeping and eating in a cave was very cool. This is a great hotel in the heart of Matera Sassi, with a nice breakfast and excellent staff, especially Domenico.

Our cave suite even had its own cinema room, totally amazing. The host was quick to respond, and because our room was ready, they let us check in three hours early. They also left us a map of places worth visiting. The suite was spacious and every little detail was in place. It brought together the whole atmosphere of Matera, and I’m so happy we got to experience it. One of the most wonderful places I’ve stayed. I recommend it to anyone and wouldn’t change a thing.

Helpful staff and a nice breakfast. This is a great B&B in Matera’s Sassi, with a good location and spacious cave rooms.

Reception and the breakfast area are set in a carved cave, and the stonework rooms are roomy with cozy beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was an impressive spread at breakfast. It’s in a great central spot. Loved everything here, and I’ll try the spa next time.

We had so much fun with the private spa upgrade, and the breakfast setting was such a pleasant place to start the day. Matera is a fabulous city, and I wish we’d stayed longer. This was the highlight of our trip around Puglia. We felt lucky to find this accommodation.
