The welcome at reception really made the visit. Cinzia was kind, helpful, and so welcoming. We also had a comfortable, spotless room and a great breakfast with lots of options. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The price was $550 a night, yet breakfast costs another $25 per person, and they seem very stingy with the water. I expected a five-star hotel to at least have a European gym for stretching, or a restaurant or bar, but there was none of that. It's an adequate hotel, just wildly overpriced. The comparison that came to mind was a Marriott Courtyard at $120 in the States, maybe $200 here. Guess I was the sucker for thinking five stars meant something. You have to ask the staff to turn on the AC, then they type something into a computer. The parking lot was so hard to navigate that I got into an accident while trying to leave. Front desk staff were on their phones nonstop and couldn't help. A

Giovanni was fabulous behind the bar. He made a great Cosmopolitan and the best espresso martini, and was really helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond.

There wasn't any hot water the morning we checked out. They offered a 20% voucher to make up for it, but it still didn't feel like a five-star experience.
