Ms. MariaPia was very friendly, and there’s a supermarket only two minutes away. The room is big, comfortable, and cool, with air conditioning, two double sofa beds, and a fully equipped kitchen for making meals. Breakfast is provided too, with coffee capsules for a Nespresso machine. It’s great for families with children and is only about five minutes from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, at the entrance to the Sassi. The center is very close, and the price was quite reasonable compared with the area.

Maria Pia and her husband are wonderful, even though I only met them briefly. It’s hard to find parking there, and they took the time to save us a space for the day. The house is just a few minutes’ walk from the center and has all the comforts we needed, including heating and a hairdryer. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, though the products were packaged. Excellent! I recommend the Matera tours, you won’t be disappointed.

There’s a very comfortable sofa bed and all the comforts you need inside. The place is just steps from the historic center, so it’s handy for couples or families. Parking nearby is either paid or free if you get lucky and are patient. I recommend it.

More than we expected: roomy, spotless, recently done up, and so welcoming.
