We found the place easily, and the rooms were clean and roomy enough, each with its own bathroom. The owner was really helpful and set the air conditioning in each room according to guests' requests, though only the owner could control it. There’s a shared kitchenette and a small balcony, and we got a free parking spot near the building. The old main square is about 300 meters away. Sound travels a lot here. You can hear neighbors in their bathrooms, and noise from guests returning through the small hallway woke me several times during one night.

Massimiliano was very helpful and gave us plenty of useful information. The room was spotless, though the bidet was practically built in, so I couldn't use it. The B&B is at least 400 meters uphill from the center, which is useful to know. As for breakfast, I haven't eaten Mulino Bianco snacks or tarts since fifth grade.

The shared area was a nice touch, with a TV, terrace, fridge, and water always available. We also had a little terrace off our room where smoking was allowed. The room could use a few small fixes: ours was missing a mirror and a wastebasket, and the mattress was smaller than the bed frame. The B&B is a short walk from central Matera. The welcoming, knowledgeable owner gave us all the city information we needed, and street parking below the property was a good option. Breakfast at bar civico 2, just nearby, was good too.

We were on the top floor of a quiet building in a peaceful area, and had room no. 3 with its own brand-new, spotless bathroom. The room was large, clean, and had a balcony. Breakfast was more than generous, and Massimiliano was kind, punctual, and very careful about anti-Covid rules. He also gave us loads of information. The location is excellent for visiting the Sassi, just steps from the center, and especially handy if you're traveling by car. There’s parking under the house. My only gripes were the high pillows, which are a personal preference, and having to pay in cash, which is inconvenient for me. Still, I highly recommend it.
