A quiet break only a few kilometres from Matera’s centre, and the owner was welcoming and helpful throughout. It felt like home. We travelled with our dog and found it great for that too.

The owner was kind, around when needed, and really helpful. The room was comfortable, and breakfast had that at-home feeling. It’s such a peaceful spot, yet Matera and all its wonders are only a five-minute drive away. Then there’s Elly, a Cane Corso who’s incredibly sweet and smiley. Thanks so much for having us. We’ll be back.

It’s ideally placed for visiting the centre of Matera, and the whole place was very quiet. Our host was so helpful and spoke French, which was a bonus. The accommodation was spacious and clean, and the common areas were pleasant.

The owner is very kind, and I’d recommend this to everyone. It’s an interesting, beautiful place, though there’s plenty that could be improved.

I had a really relaxing stay and could do things independently, while still having a host who was there whenever I needed anything.
