La Casa Sul Melo

Really clean and tidy apartment, with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen had all the useful bits, though I couldn't see a washing machine. The host met us late at night at very short notice and helped us plan the next leg of our journey. Amazing.

It's on the third floor and has a kitchenette, a double bedroom with its own bathroom, and a twin bedroom with a second bathroom. Clean, modern, and fully equipped. The historic center and the Sassi di Matera are about a ten-minute walk away, so the location is ideal for visiting. Parking is hard to find unless you pay. A great place to come back to.

Annalisa was kind and helpful from the start, and when we arrived for four days over New Year's Eve, breakfast basics were already there: water, coffee, fruit, pastries, and yogurt. La Casa sul Melo has all the comforts for a short or long stay, and the Sassi are within a five-minute walk. We'd recommend it for four people.

Mrs. Annalisa was friendly, caring, attentive, punctual, and always available. She provided breakfast, and there was free Wi-Fi. The apartment was spotless and had everything, from towels and phones to dishes, pots, cups, and both automatic and traditional coffee makers. It's on the third floor, very close to ancient Matera's center, with shops, services, and restaurants nearby, including a bakery, bar, pharmacy, and clothing stores. There's also a large villa where children can play. The rooms are spacious, bright, and modern, furnished with care. There are two large, clean bathrooms with fiberglass. The area was very quiet, so we slept peacefully, and free street parking was available. It has radiators, air conditioning, a fridge, and a freezer. Great for a night or a longer stay.
