Right in the Sassi di Matera, in the Sasso Barisano district, the house is perfectly placed for getting around on foot. It had everything we needed, and was fully equipped. We even found water in the fridge, along with breakfast and coffee. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. I can’t imagine finding a better place to stay in Matera. Parking on the white lines in the streets next to the pedestrian area was easy, about a 5-minute walk away.

Cosimina made sure we felt looked after and suggested great ways to get the most out of Matera. The house is tastefully furnished, cool, and quiet, and its central, convenient location is ideal for exploring the Sassi of Matera on foot. A wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back.
