August 2024 is one I’ll remember. The owners were really kind and always available with tips on where to eat and what to see. After my 6-hour drive to Matera, it was great to find the house spotless and only steps from the center. There’s parking in the courtyard, plus air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows if, like me, you don’t like using the air conditioning. It’s stocked with what you need, including soap, toilet paper, breakfast, sheets, and bidet, face, and shower towels. Well deserved 5 stars.

It’s a little dated, but the apartment has what you need, and parking is available. It’s also close to the center. Anna was very kind and attentive. I’d highly recommend it.

What upset us most was how we were treated. The mattress in our room was so damp that we couldn’t sleep, so we told the owner. They didn’t come to check it and ignored the problem, then accused us of using the accommodation for a short break. After a long discussion, we received only partial compensation and had to leave late that evening. We had a really negative experience.

The private parking was a real lifesaver, especially with the famous Sassi just a 2-minute walk away. We stayed here with our children for my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly, professional, and courteous, and the guys gave us tips on places to see, eat, and visit. Wonderful place and owners, so close to the Sassi. Thank you for everything!
