La Casetta

The bedroom is really spacious, with wardrobes, shelves, and a nice pouf. In the living room there's a comfortable sofa bed, plus a TV and free Wi-Fi. La Casetta is actually a roomy place with everything for a pleasant stay in Matera. The kitchen has a cooktop, oven, fridge, coffee maker, and various utensils, along with sweet snacks, juice, milk, butter, infusions, and other breakfast items. The bathroom has a tub and shower, as well as a washing machine. Having indoor parking was a huge help. And special mention to the host Emanuele, whose warmth, kindness, and willingness to help made my stay in beautiful Matera even more memorable.

The location made getting around easy, with Via Vittorio Veneto about a five-minute walk away and the Sassi and cathedral within easy reach. We were there over Epiphany weekend, and the owner was so helpful when we arrived. He even collected us from the bus stop, which was a bit out of the way, and suggested several traditional places to eat. The place is self-contained, so we had plenty of independence, with a kitchenette for coffee or a quick bite. Breakfast was included, just a few pastries and other basics with coffee, but there was no set time for it. I’d recommend staying here in Matera.

Having your own parking spot is a big help in a busy town where finding a place for the car is genuinely difficult. We parked inside the building on arrival and could leave the car there until we checked out. The B&B is spacious, very clean, and only a short walk from the center. It also has no shared areas, so you’re fully independent. The owner was very nice. I haven’t added photos because the ones already posted give an accurate picture. I recommend it.

Emanuele was so attentive and kind, and helped us with what we needed. The apartment was cozy and just a short walk from the historic center. We had a lovely vacation in Matera, thank you.
