La Casetta del Vicinato

We came for Ferragosto. The apartment was clean and well kept, and the owner was very friendly. It's central, so nearly everything is easy to reach and you can see Matera without ever leaving the car. Telepass parking is very close.

The location is excellent, just a flat two-minute walk from Piazzetta Pascoli and its breathtaking view. Mr. Vito was kind, helpful, and honest. He accepted a bank transfer and even gave us a receipt. We stayed on very cold days in February 2022. He explained how the heating worked and let us leave it on a few hours longer than he'd planned. Everything was set up for a stress-free stay, whether for a day or longer, and what Vito shows in the property listing is accurate. We used the kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi, and all the bathroom fixtures without any problems. Highly recommended and excellent value for money. We'll be back soon. The Sassi are just 100 meters away, yet the neighborhood is quiet. We stayed in October, and with a little patience you can find free parking. The small house was comfortable and had all the comforts we needed. Mr. Vito and his wife helped us with everything. Fantastic, and thanks for making our holiday unforgettable.

Mr. Vito was genuinely helpful and provided every comfort, making the experience excellent. Everything was impeccable. We spent two nights at Casetta del Vicinato, right in the heart of Matera. It was very convenient for visiting the main sights, including the Sassi, churches, museum, and Palombaro.
