The hosts are lovely and make you feel cared for throughout the stay, starting with an outstanding breakfast made from fresh, genuine ingredients. Villa Bruna Country Holiday is a great place for a relaxing break and a cultural visit, set in the Matera countryside. Matera’s historic center is only a five-minute drive away. Highly recommended!

Only 7 km from Matera’s center, this welcoming place is surrounded by sunny green fields and olive trees. The rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces are clean and comfortable, with simple, tasteful furnishings. Breakfast is wholesome, with sweet and savory choices, including delicious homemade cakes and jams. I highly recommend it.

The owners were friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed, and breakfast was excellent for the price. We stayed with our family for a day in August 2018. It was very clean and peaceful, with Matera close by. A lovely quiet spot in a fantastic city, highly recommended.

We found this elegant, well-kept place just outside Matera, and it was wonderfully quiet. The hospitality was lovely, and breakfast came with delicious homemade cakes. A great base for seeing the Sassi of Matera.
