Palais Gentile is a beautifully restored, romantic home right in the old town, down a narrow lane in an authentic town. Carolina made us feel so welcome with first-class service, and nothing was too much trouble. Her restaurant suggestions and tips on where to park made getting around easier. Breakfast choices were fabulous and delicious. At night it’s so quiet outside you can hear a pin drop, and the rooftop terrace is a lovely spot to sit and take in the beautiful views. If you’re after a beautiful boutique stay, don’t hesitate to book.

That rooftop is worth catching at sunset if you get the chance. We loved our four nights at Palais Gentile and hope we can return someday. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. Carolina and Aurelian made us feel incredibly welcome and were happy to help with any request. Aurelian also offered ideas for places to visit, restaurants, and things to do, plus useful parking options in different areas. Breakfast was delicious, with local pastries, and they’ve thought of everything to make a stay feel special. The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful part of Italy. Thanks, Palais Gentile, for a wonderful stay.

Breakfast on the rooftop of the main house, freshly prepared by Carolina and her husband, was a highlight, with beautiful views across Matino. Carolina was so friendly and always available, going out of her way to help us plan and make reservations. We had the spacious apartment with a private roof terrace, which was comfortable and nicely decorated. A fantastic stay at Palais Gentile. Highly recommended!

Matino was a lovely base, with great little restaurants and some of Italy's best beaches only a short drive away. Our suite at Palais Gentile was gorgeous, from the furnishings to the comfort, and the service was lovely too. Everything felt just right. The BEST, absolutely recommended!

Matino made it easy to head toward either coast, since it's so centrally placed. We spent five nights at Palais Gentile and loved the spacious, tasteful room and its thoughtful designer touches, plus that beautiful rooftop deck. Carolina and Aurelin were so generous with their time, helping us figure out what to do and sharing how much they love the area. They also treated us to a different filled pasticcioto each day, and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend. Grazie mille, C & A!
