Villa dei Primi

The house has plenty of space, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, and a large terrace you can actually use. It sits among the olive groves of Matino, and the lovely beaches near Gallipoli are only a few minutes away. There’s a big garden too, but it wasn’t well kept and wasn’t very usable. The villa has real potential, but it was poorly managed. We rented through Airbnb in August 2021. The cleaning was poor, and the information before arrival was incomplete. For example, nowhere did it say there was no drinking water or that washing water came from a tank. We arrived to a dirty house, bins full of smelly rubbish, and a garden gazebo so overgrown that plants had grown inside it. We asked Airbnb for some compensation, but after months of emails and texts we gave up. Such a shame. Unfortunately, I only have photos of the things that weren’t working, not of the house itself.
