Hotel Torre Santamaria

The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel or resort: fresh, delicious, and with just about anything you could ask for. We had a wonderful, quiet stay, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. My husband and I came for the first weekend in October, when the weather was still lovely. There was road construction nearby and getting there was a little tricky, but we found it. We arrived early and had lunch nearby. I've found a new favorite place to stay, and I'll definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

The whole place is beautiful, and our room was clean and really comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning, especially the fresh honeycomb. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We loved how quiet the hotel was, with its lovely garden and clean, well-kept pool. There were beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and my daughter spent time looking for tiny lizards among them. The olive trees added shade and made the garden even prettier. The staff were friendly and always smiling. Breakfast had plenty of variety, from fruit, cakes and homemade jams to bread with olive oil, herbs, tiny tomatoes and ham with pistachios. There were also sausages and scrambled eggs, plus croissants with white chocolate and fruit that my kids enjoyed. Everyone could find something tasty. Our room was very comfortable, especially the bathroom. We had a small terrace with sun loungers and a clothes dryer. The air conditioning worked well and had no bad smell, and housekeeping left small bottles of water each day. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away. We recommend driving to Vignanotica, about 30 minutes away, for its small stones, or to the lovely St. Lorenzo beach, about an hour away, with golden sand. Il Melograno is a 4-5 minute walk away, and its pizza was the best I've ever had. We spent four nights here and were happy to have such a peaceful hotel without crowds. We highly recommend it.

The beaches we liked best around Mattinata were only steps from the property. We had a wonderful stay, and the staff were so helpful. Thanks to Torre Santamaria and everyone there!
