The pool and football pitch were nice extras, and we could always find a space in the on-site parking. The pitch is a bit old, but the plastic grass and goals were in good working order. Wi-Fi was free throughout the resort. We were a family of four staying for 8 days, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The beach is about 200 meters away on foot. There’s a public section, plus an area where you can rent two sun beds and an umbrella for 10€ a day, which seemed reasonable. It’s a pebbly beach, so swimming shoes can be useful. The pool has a lifeguard and allows inflatable toys. It’s open from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm and 04:00 pm to 08:00 pm. Breakfast is 10€ per person at the restaurant, with a decent mix of healthy and sweet options. We also ate at the restaurant and liked the food. The menu worked for both adults and children, and the staff there were very friendly too. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

The staff made us feel very welcome, and Villagio San Matteo is conveniently close to the beach. The surrounding area is stunning. We had a great time here and would recommend it for either a short break or a longer vacation.

The water was clean, but the pebbly beach wasn't ideal for little ones. A baby might put stones in their mouth, and a toddler can't easily run around or make sandcastles there. The pool and playground give the place a nice atmosphere, though they need better cleaning and upkeep. Kids' meals aren't included in the half-board package, and the tourist tax is 2.5€/day/pax.

The location is beautiful, but the service quality was low. The beds were very bad, and there was no hot water for showers. Beware!
