The reception staff were helpful, and the hotel has what you need for a short stay. But it feels dated and, in places, run down. At 60€ a night, I don’t think it’s worth the price. Our room door jammed halfway open, and I nearly hit my head on it. The bathroom seat was very old, the bed a bit uncomfortable, and the window blind was broken. Breakfast costs 5€ per person, but there wasn’t much choice. The cappuccino was cold, and one of the worst I’ve tried.

On Saturday, 2023 March 11, I was staying in Marsala and spotted this hotel, which looked reasonably priced. It turned out to be in Mazaro del Valle. I was set on having a good Sicilian seafood dinner at one of Marsala’s best restaurants, so I booked for 6:30 pm that afternoon. I drove from Marsala to get my room, then hurried back to La Marinara. The food was disastrous, and the whole meal was a nightmare!!!
